On October 29, 2010, I received the surprise of a lifetime. My best friend ask me to marry him. It didn't just come right out. We had not had a date night in months because of football season and being caught up with our family and friends. So I asked him if we could have a date night just the two of us. So he picked the place and I picked the day. He decided to take me to Felix's Fish Camp, which wasn't a big surprise because we go there a lot for our dates. When we finally got our table we just ate and had a great time just us two together. After the meal was over the waiter asked, "Is there something on my face because you two have been all smiles all night." I told him I was just happy to be out with J.T. because we have not had a date in months. He said, "Oh okay just making sure ya'll weren't celebrating anything like an anniversary or an engagement." Well J.T. was quick to jump in and say, "No, no engagement. We are waiting until we both finish school and we aren't rushing anything at all." The waiter told us, "Yeah, I have a friend who did the same thing and by the time they get married they will be together for six years." So right then J.T. knew he had me fooled. Finally I looked at him and said are you ready to go. He told me he was so he went to stand up, but instead of walking away from the table he got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him. My first question was, "DID YOU ASK MY DADDY FIRST?" Then I said yes.....I will let ya'll know later how he asked my dad.
