Well I cannot say that much about the dress, because my fiance and my father both do not want to know anything about it until the big day! So I will just tell you more about the experience I had. The first time I ever went looking for a dress it was just spontaneous. My mom and I were out shopping and just stopped into David's Bridal. I did not put on a wedding dress, I just got some ideas. The next time we went dress shopping it was all planned. We drove over to Pensacola because we have a close family friend that works at David's Bridal there and he wanted to share this experience with me and my mother. Plus he can be honest and tell me if something looks horrible. Oh boy did he and my mother both do that to the dress that I absolutely loved. In the end, I did not find anything that looked right on my short body. The next time we went they made me try on dresses that I said that I would never wear! Guess what? I found the perfect dress out of those. So my advice would be to try on anything and everything you can and not have a closed mind. The perfect dress for me was the one I said I did not even want to look at.
The Dress I Wanted!!! | DID NOT LOOK GOOD AT ALL!!! |
That is so funny and so true about many things in life. I like how you posted the "wrong" dress and am looking forward to seeing the right one!
ReplyDeleteThanks! My dad and J.T. both said that they did not want to see the dress until I was walking down the aisle so it has been in hiding!
ReplyDeleteThe dress I wore for my wedding was the one I absolutley hated on the hanger!!! You always try on the dresses, and the funny thing is, is that my dad said he was going to "find me the perfect dress" and we he walked back, he had the same dress in his hands, that I had on!!! Then we knew it was fate :)
ReplyDeleteAwww.... that is so sweet. My dad said that he did not want to see the dress until the day of the wedding. So my mom and I always joke with him that he paid for it, but can't see it.
